Making Avery's Halloween Costume

Happy Halloween!
This is not the first halloween costume I have made for Avery, but it is my favorite so far. I used a lamp shade that I spray painted pink and then made clip on spinders so she can wear the lamp shade bottom. The top is just layers of pink polar fleece that I cut like to look like frosting. I then sewed on pink ric rac around the bottom of each layer of "frosting" to give it a finished look. Last I sewed on white pearl beads to make sprinkles. We added a pearl necklace and bright red bow for the cherry on top. It was lots of fun and I was surprised it turned out as good as it did.

Camping at Lake Summerville. The whole gang.

Our trip to south padre island. We can't get enough of the salt and sand.

Corpus Christi Beach

First time to the beach this season. Summer has began. Avery loves the sand.

This is my favorite picture from our trip to the zoo. It makes me laugh every time I look at it.

River Rats

Catching some rays with Conner at the river.

"Make Each Day Count"

Today we took the kiddos to the river to take some pictures and let them play in the water. This is one of the pictures I took. Amber took some more of Avery and I can't wait to see how they turned out. It is so nice out there we are usually the only people out there and the kids have a blast wadding in the water chasing the minnows.

Wipe and Diaper Holders

This one I put Avery's name on. We are way past diapers but it's great to hold other things too.

Wipe and diaper holders I made for a few baby showers I have coming up. This was the first time I made these. It was easier than I thought it would be and only took about 10 minutes to make one. I used uphosterty fabric to give it some weight .

Happy Easter

Happy Easter!
Easter is my favorite hoilday. We had a party for friends and family on Saturday and the kiddos painted eggs inside while the easter bunnies hid 200 plastic eggs outside. It was a lot of fun.
